Abarat: Absolute Midnight Official Trailer
The official trailer for Abarat: Absolute Midnight. September 27, 2011. Clive Barker’s epic young adult fantasy series continues after a long hiatus with what promises to be the darkest installment yet, Absolute Midnight. The apparent death of Christopher Carrion was not as it seemed, and with his return, the plans of his grandmother Mater Motley to bring about the Requiax and Absolute Midnight to the islands of the Abarat, it is up to Candy Quackenbush and her friends to fight against the forces of Gorgossium and beyond. Absolute Midnight is the third in a five part series known as Abarat.

So, I have to admit: I’ve never read the Abarat series, but having seen this trailer, it looks like Barker is borrowing from Hellraiser–the movie not the book, The Hellbound Heart. LOL, it looks like Carrion is the Pinhead character and Candy is his Kirsty.
I just can’t believe that Barker is writing young adult novels now…his books and movies use to scare the crap out of me as a kid! That being said, I am slightly intrigued by this trailer.

Oh man oh man. I cannot wait to read it, I am on a tight budget so I’ve been unable to get it (there’s like 100 holds requested for it at library), the 28th of this month I will be getting it! So excited! Great trailer! Now…when’s the movie

I don’t know why but I though it was sexy when Carrion called out “Candy, where are you my sweet?” <3

My favorite book series! I’ve been anxious to read this third installment since middle school. I’m now in my second year of college, so it’s been quite a few years! I love that they painted him up in this just like the illustrations in the books, which are a huge part of what makes them so great. 19 more days, I can hardly wait!
